Handmade with care

My Ringo bonnet sold quite fast, after someone posted about it being on Etsy in a forum. I suppose it must seem very expensive, but given the number of hours it takes me to make one (I'm so slow) it's not even worth it. I don't sell my things to make money, just to play shop, but I don't want to give them away either. I guess I want them to go to people who really want them, not to just anyone looking for a bargain. For once I used my customized ribbon, about which I always forget. I wanted to include some Moo cards, but I had forgotten I had used them all. I need to take the time to order some more.

I have a lot of ribbon left from a few years ago with the inscription "made especially for Riley by Biscuitbear". Someone had asked, what will you do with it when you're not into Riley anymore, and I thought, I will always be into Riley, but of course nothing lasts forever and while I still have the doll I don't make things for her anymore. So when I ordered ribbon after that, I made sure that it wasn't too specific. I have some little textile labels as well with my name on them, but I don't think I ever used them ; the things I make these days are too small, there's no space for the labels.

If I had the time, and if I knew where to buy them, I'd like to buy little boxes and bags and make pretty packages of the few things I sell. In Japan there were "package shops", even in the small town of Asahi where I lived at one time, with all kinds of packaging supplies, boxes with clear windows in the lids, sparkling bags, opaque glassy bags, ties, etc, etc...never saw such a shop here.

if i can send anything, please let me know ^^

Hi Helene:I have quite a few catalogs on packaging suppliers - let me know if you'd like me to send you some. Even if they don't ship oversees, we could probably combine orders and then I could forward yours. :-)

The bonnets are beautiful and I think they are priceless!
