This week has felt inordinately long to me and I'm grateful it's Friday evening finally. Puni has been sick with strep thoat but is better today. A few days ago colleagues were discussing a meningitis case in the neighborhood and though I had never thought about it before when she was running a fever, I'm easily influenced so this time I worried about her, especially since she was saying the back of her neck was hurting and she seemed to be bothered by the light. So I was watching her closely and already playing scenarios in my head but thankfully it seems it was just in my head.
Among a few treats in the mail today (a cookbook, pins, a doll magazine) was the April issue of Oshare Koubou.
There is an embroidery sampler with detailed explanations, useful for people like me not very skilled at embroidery.
A cute fabric food toy to teach young children about food. There is a Western version and a Japanese version!
A pretty bookcover.
The first in the new monthly quilt series : chinese milk vetch.

First, I'm with you, anytime some says meningitis I start worrying. Glad to hear she is feeling better. What a great magazine. The sampler is very nice and not busy. And I really like the book cover. Hope you have a lovely weekend.
